Dr David Frawley

Dr David Frawley (Pandit Vamadeva Shastri) is one of the foremost western experts on Vedic Science. His work in various Vedic fields is widely respected in India. He is a Professor of Vedic Astrology and Ayurveda at the International Vedic Hindu University (IVHU). He is a Vaidya (Ayurvedic doctor), and a Jyotishi (Vedic astrologer). His prolific writings for over twenty years includes books on the Vedas, ancient India, Hinduism, modern India, Ayurveda, Yoga, Vedanta and Vedic astrology. Currently he is the director of the American Institute of Vedic Studies in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA, which offers information, training and resources on a number of Vedic topics. As an American Hindu, Frawley is one of the few westerners to be recognised by a major Hindu sect in India as a Vedacharya or teacher of the ancient wisdom.
