James O'Neill

James O’Neill (d.2022) was a Barrister-at-Law who wrote on geopolitical issues with a particular emphasis on international law. Born in New Zealand, James travelled and lectured around the world at different universities. He also worked at the UN in Geneva as a consultant. He became a senior lecturer at the University of Waikato, and completed law degrees at the University of Auckland, being admitted to the bar in 1984. James later practised at the bar, first in NZ and from 2002 in Brisbane. His special areas of interest were international law, human rights and the law of war. James was a regular contributor to New Dawn magazine and online journals such as New Eastern Outlook, Independent Australia, and Gumshoe News, and many others.
